Why

I coach because I wish I were coached when I needed it. Thus, I have a strong desire to intentionally support leaders, especially educational leaders and emerging young leaders who are creating their roadmaps to career advancement.

I have experienced being stuck and needing clarity as a leader. I wish I knew what I know now and had the support then. Now that I have learned how to co-actively help leaders gain a fresh perspective, become unstuck, and gain clarity, I am committed and eager to do so.

My value added is my empathy and optimism, complemented by 33-plus years in education and the International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited training and certification in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance (LCOP).

My coaching can:

  • Help leaders acquire a Fresh Leadership Perspective.
  • Assist them in becoming effective change agents.
  • Move them from Silo Builders to Team Players, and
  • Help them experience joy at work.

Results

  • School administrators confidently became effective agents of change in their buildings.
  • Emerging young leaders created a roadmap to their career advancement.
  • School leaders moved from Silo Builders to Team Players.
  • Administrators were enlightend, refreshed, and prepared for the journey ahead.

Maintaining Presence

Maintaining your Presence and wholeheartedly embracing a Coaching Mindset can break through impenetrable brick walls to navigate through the coaching session with confidence and clarity.

The way one presents oneself as a coach significantly influences the structure of coaching sessions as well as the overall trajectory of clients' journeys toward self-discovery and progress. The competency of "Maintaining Presence," recognized as a critical element within the International Coaching Federation (ICF) framework, is fundamentally connected to "Self-Awareness." This principle reflects an essential aspect of effective instruction in educational contexts: a student's academic performance is not solely determined by their capacity to learn or the qualifications of the instructor; rather, it also relies upon the instructor's ability to engage meaningfully with students across diverse backgrounds and varying academic levels.

In a similar fashion, a coach who is truly present engages in active listening, observes subtle nuances in client communication, and poses insightful questions. This intentional engagement fosters an atmosphere of trust, enabling clients to feel secure as they explore and express their thoughts and emotions. As clients articulate their reflections, guided by the coach's probing inquiries, they frequently experience significant breakthroughs that facilitate deeper self-awareness. This newfound insight empowers clients to recognize their learning, which ultimately aids them in identifying viable solutions and determining appropriate next steps in addressing their challenges. Emphasizing the importance of presence can yield substantial benefits, promoting clients' development and progress.

Accountability

Accountability is A Fundamental Aspect of Goal Setting.

ACCOUNTABILITY is a fundamental aspect of goal setting. It entails taking ownership of that which you have envisioned, designed, and articulated, whether on paper or in your mind. Accountability enables an effective system for tracking progress, identifying setbacks, and recalibrating focus as necessary.

While you concentrate on your vision board and formulate measurable goals, it is imperative to establish a clear strategy for holding yourself accountable in the pursuit of these objectives. This process should not conclude upon completing the vision board or when it is displayed on your wall. Rather, it should serve as a continuous, reflective reminder of your aspirations, dreams, goals, and objectives. It is crucial not to overlook the significance of accountability in this process.
